NEWS: Richard Pinedo, the California man who unknowingly helped Russian meddling in 2016 by selling fake bank accounts to Kremlin-backed trolls, was released from federal custody this week. He was sentenced last year to 6 months in prison after pleading guilty to identity fraud.

Pinedo's name was mentioned eight times in the Mueller report. One example: "The investigation did not establish that Pinedo was aware of the identity of the (Internet Research Agency) members who purchased bank account numbers from him." (Volume I, page 175)
The Mueller report also said: "Pinedo's sales of account numbers enabled the IRA members to anonymously access a financial network through which they transacted with U.S. persons and companies." (Volume 1, page 175)
Interestingly enough, Pinedo also appears on the very last line of the very last page of the Mueller report, which describes the "completed prosecutions."
