Alabama just banned abortion in almost all cases inc. rape & incest.

This s*** is why I can't watch The Handmaid's Tale. When I watch TV I want to escape from society's attempts to return to the glory years of rampant and blatant inequality.

FYI, this is a video from before Trump was elected. So Trump voters knew exactly what they were signing up for. They can say they did it for jobs etc... But they're responsible for Alabama by legitimising his views.
Brexit is different. There may have been racist politicians and celebrities behind it but there's nothing inherently racist or bigoted about leaving the EU because Brexit isn't inherently tied to the people for behind it.
HOWEVER, voting for a party controlled by Nigel Farage...

I respect Brexit voters WAY more than Trump voters.
There's nothing racist about leaving the EU, but due to the racism of its leaders, many non-racist Brexit voters were called racist.

HOWEVER, Trump said racist/sexist/bigoted things, so they voted for a racist sexist bigot.
The Brexit Party has no manifesto. So the top authority on what that party actually is, is the leader, who's a racist (SEE PROOF BELOW OR SHHH!).
So a vote for the Brexit Party is a vote for racism.
Yet non-racists are going to vote for him anyway because it's the "Brexit Party".

I've just screen-recorded the full Farage-#marr interview so I can do some commentary, and I don't know how I'm going to even cut it down. Almost every second was glorious!
Side note. Well done for sticking to things you can prove. No accusations without documented evidence to hand:
No "Who funds you" without evidence of inappropriate funding, no "you're racist" without clear and logical evidence of his racism. Because they make people switch off.

I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. I’m not going to do that on the #Alabama assault on choice. Let’s just be clear, this has nothing to do with religion, or protecting children.
1. This isn’t about some insistence on Christian principles. Jesus gave us his commands- to love thy neighbor, to heal the sick, and give back to the poor. Do you see Alabama doing anything about the poor?
2. Most of Christianity opposes the death penalty. Has Alabama taken recent steps to eliminate it? Let me know.

This morning, I looked up one of the many state legislators sponsoring these horrific ideas to criminalize abortion. His page cited protection of "innocent" life as a priority and it struck me: they see women as evil. Babies are innocent; women aren't. It goes back to Eve. 1/
Eve tempted Adam into sin, and women suffer pain in childbirth as punishment. So all women are inherently sinful in the eyes of Evangelical "Christians."

We can never be as valuable as innocent babies, even when those "babies" are just clumps of cells. We are expendable. /fin
