There’s still a concept about the night prayer (Taraweeh, Tahajjud Or Asham) Which ever name you call it, that people don’t understand.

I’d like to make clear few things to the best of my knowledge.

Please share cause a lot of people need to stop wasting this chance.
First let’s understand that any prayer that comes behind the Ishaa prayer is called a witr prayer, and it’s raka’a are ranging from 1 till infinity.

But the Prophet (S.A.W) never goes beyond 11 raka’as (Based on what most Alims agreed upon), it’s sunnah to do the same
Now, let’s talk about the names given to this night prayer,

Taraweeh, Asham And Tahajjud these names are still referring to the same night prayer and they mean the same thing.

Only that Tahajjud means a prayer you perform after sleeping and waking up.
It can be called Tahajjud even if you sleep for just 1 hour after isha prayer.

Let’s go to the most important part of this thread, mistakes people make with the night prayer during Ramadan.
During the Taraweeh prayer, you’d find people leaving the mosque after 8 Raka’as (for those praying 11 raka’as) with the saying that they’d wake up for night prayer later so they don’t want to pray witr with the Imam and pray later.
And when you ask they’d tell you, the Prophet (S.A.W) said you can’t offer any other prayer in that night after you offer the witr prayer.
Now before I say anything let’s remember the hadith of the Prophet that says if you pray the night prayer behind an Imam from start to finish, Allah would reward you as if you stood in prayer throughout that night.
Now my question here is...

If you’ve offered your prayers behind an Imam and granted rewards as if you prayed the whole night long, is there a need to wake up again an pray?
Let’s say you want more rewards and you decide that you want to wake up and pray more in the night.

First wait and complete your prayer with the Imam, then wake up and pray again such that when you combine the number of raka’as it’ll add up to an odd number.
I pray we don’t miss this opportunity of getting rewarded while we enjoy our sleep.

May Allah grant us All the blessings in this month and make us steadfast on the deen.
This would help you understand in shaa Allah ..
