SAO had the prior conviction info. The added charges were a tactic. They didn’t see the need until six months after initial charges. They were being screwed by police and needed the delay.

Judge Panos was one of the few judges I have seen in Baltimore loss patience with SAO.

Yeah, let’s just get rid of that pesky charge that has no evidence.

This is what SAOs in over policed communities do. Through massive charges, hope for a plea deal. Rarely do any of these go to trial.

I was wrong in my interview. Keith’s sister was outside some of the time, as a witness she was sequestered. But she wasn’t there every day. It was Kelly and the police officers.

I would like to think that wasn’t me laughing in that clip. But um, I can’t make any definitive statements.

(BTW Mitchell Courthouse is a few blocks from Mercy Hospital emergency room. Sirens are a regular interruption)
