Well, it's a strong endorsement of the tent, I'll give you that. But what's the point of living in a 7-cat household if you find it relaxing to be in a cat-free zone? The only way to be at peace in a 7-cat house is to accept that it's theirs, all of it.
You'll always have cat fur over everything you own. They'll eat all the houseplants, then piss in the soil. You'll never sleep past dawn. There's no point buying expensive things, ever. Just accept it. That's how you achieve peace.
