Few thoughts on people comparing defeat or @AtishiAAP with win of Pragya Thakur
1) Atishi was fighting against Gambhir who has a damn good image of an achiever and philanthropist
2) Pragya defeated Digvijay Singh, not Atishi. There is no point comparing these two contests
3) Atishi relied on mudslinging from the day Gambhir's name was announced. Her whole campaign was built around tarnishing Gambhir's public image.
4) First they spread rumour that Gambhir will be disqualified (even after he wins) because he has 2 voter ID cards.
4) Then a fake news was planted saying, because of Gambhir's commercial commitments he will be away from country for most part of tenure in Park.
5) She dropped to lowest level when AAP accused Gambhir of circulating the abusive pamphlet. No one believed her.
Gambhir didn't do personal attacks in his campaign and stayed focused on Parry's elections agenda.
Atishi's ugly & misguided campaign is largely responsible for her defeat. If she has done so much for education in Delhi why didn't she rely on her good work to win election?
Those who are blaming voters for not electing an Oxford educated candidate, my question for them is -
What is the point of being so much educated if you resort to character assassination of you opponent?
Lastly... Please move on. Results are declared. It is not 12th class exams where you can apply for re-evaluation.
If Atishi fancies her chances again Pragya then next time fight against Pragya Thakur.
