This morning I received an email "from my boss."

I was sceptical since the email wasnt his normal email so I decided to investigate.

Immediately, things started to get a little phishy, if you know what I mean. 🐟🐠🐡

I knew it was fake st this point and called another partner at the firm to see if I was the only one to get this email. Surprise, I wasnt. So I decided to have some fun.

Obviously, all the managing partner at my firm wanted at at 8:15 am was a iTunes gift card. @carlyrea just released a new album so I get it.

Then I tried to turn the scam on the scammer.

Apparently, the scammers had seen this trick before.

Nevertheless, I persisted and I made sure to crank up the nonsense a few levels. 🐝 🐝🐝🐝

That was apparently all too much for the scammer, but they thought they has me so what was a few extra imaginary dollars between friends? They promised to pay me back 5 times what they were trying to scam from me in the first place. How could I say no? 🙄

One of the most important parts of trying to scam a scammer is making sure they have the Benjamins. 💵💵💵

Once they thought they had me their desperation started to show.

But then I thought about it. Why get promised 5 fake Benjamins when I could have dozens of fake Hamiltons and Jeffersons?!

The scammer promised me that he would not only reimburse me in cash but that it would be in all $10s and $2s

I told him that becuase he promised to get me cash in the denomination's I asked for that I was reassured. I wasnt.

Even though I had promised to get him his iTunes gift card he wouldnt confirm he knew the made up secret meeting spot. The nerve of some people! Which is rediculous, it's made up he could have simply just said yes. But what are you going to do? Scammers going to scam.

Finally, over an hour after my first email I believe he finally caught wise that I knew he was not my boss and that I would not be running out before work to get him a $100 iTunes gift card. He hasnt responded since. I'm going to miss him. #FridayFeeling
