I need your help. Last week Natacha Chavez, LaDawn Stuben, Julie Golding, and myself were arrested for civil disobedience at @JeffFlake’s office. (A charge equal to a jaywalking.) We need you to call the prosecutor and ask them to please drop the charges at 602-262-6461.
Upon getting arrested, we were held overnight at the Fourth Avenue jail and was denied bond. Our attorney said that was extremely unusual given that it was a petty minor offense. My hope is the Maricopa County prosecutor will drop charges because of our time served.
If the operator asks you for our information. Here are our first and last names and complaint numbers that were given to us by the Phoenix Police upon our arrests.

This doesn't work in a crisis. In the Reagan/Bush years I was getting arrested in protests because my friends--men your age and younger--were dying.
My activism and that of other ACT-UP, Queer Nation and Lavender Menace people like me didn' t allow for politeness. So...no.

While I am thrilled that that work we did to save lives & gain rights has allowed you to be married, in the military & run for president, @PeteButtigieg, your not recognizing that many of us do not have white, male or cis privilege is unsettling. #LGBTQ people are still dying.

The trans ban is real. Efforts to roll back healthcare for #LGBTQ people is real. The exponential rise in hate crimes against us--all real. It's essential you recognize that platitudes when black people are being shot, women are having their bodily autonomy revoked won't work.

Except that's not what happened at all, and if you had any understanding of geopolitics or what actually happened in 2016 you'd understand @neeratanden's concern, a concern shared my millions of Americans.

I suggest viewing a documentary called "Active Measures" on hulu.

The fact that anyone is willing to forgive Stein for even sitting at the same table socially with a man like Putin is a fucking smack in the face to logic and morality.

His country liteeally hunts #LGBTQ people.

Russia recently legalized domestic violence and child abuse.

...but, as a young person (in my 20s), I identified as a Green (this was pre-Jill Stein awfulness). and most of my generational cohorts identified that or as anarchists...
...very few of us identified as socialists or communists, despite overlapping philosophies/goals. And it wasn't because we despised those ideologies per se...
