Responding to toxic behavior with toxic behavior is never justified. Mean girl style anonymous "burn books" are toxic behavior. Yes, that list included toxic people, but the way to handle it is stand up against them yourself, non-anonymously.
Indeed, I've stood up to some of the people on the list, and they and their friends have blocked me. On the other hand, I'm friendly with several of the accused on that list. This is how things are supposed to work.
Anonymous "burn books" are not just toxic but also so stupid that it hurts whatever cause you are pursuing.
