OK - its time for me to weigh in a tiny bit on the very exciting time we are about to enter into "Vorthos Speculation" because Russo Brother's plus Netflix and two announced animation companies means it's not "proposed" but probably in pre-production stages for an MtG show.

I am personally excited that they chose to go with an animated series cause the 25 year old layered version of different creative directions over time (some of which were made specifically to be "moving picture friendly") to a deal will be more easily integrated in episodic media

Russo Brothers are executive producing. The show runners are e Henry Gilroy (Star Wars Rebels) and Jose Molina (The Tick) who also write the show. Animation will be done by Octopie Network and Bardel Studio.

The Russos have worked with Octopie before and Octopie does the animation for Adam Ruins Everything. Their website is un helpful but Bardel is the heavy hitter for final production and here is their website with a demo reel at the front showing their range bardel.ca

Variety gets even more specific.
Yoriaki Mochizuki=supervising director and co-executive producer.
Octopie will oversee production Todd Makurath, Eric Calderon, & Dave Newberg producing,

So one thing that the Variety article makes clear for Vorthos who would like to speculate but are still a unsure re: how the corporate entities intertwine is Hasbro isn't "Just Hasbro" here the Russos are teaming with Hasbro’s Allspark Animation & Netflix.allspark.hasbro.com

OK so the way this works is Hasbro owns all the IP as a parent company -their own liscencing and entertainment group is brokering this most likely with a franchise team from WoTC. Where WotC will be SMEs but it's not going to be centered in our group of known associates.

"SME" means "subject matter experts" sorry about the lingo.

Russo and Bardel have extensive experience adapting from complex, conflicting and long running lore because Magic Story as it is currently curated works more like the comics industry narrative forms than any of the other types of comparative media, including video games.

That is LITERALLY the most encouraging thing - because Teen Titans Go, Star Wars Rebels and the MCU are all based on looking at decades of multiplatform, multi authored works that are STILL BEING PRODUCED in multiple ways and creating a consistent narrative of their own.

So the four tracks narrative happens in MtG (ok I guess this stopped being quick) are - in play experience, for online consumption, in Arena and in traditional print publication (comic/novel) and they are not even closely consolidated INSIDE WoTC. & consumed asynchronously.

Therefore its best to speculate that there is an efficient and practiced approach from Hasbro and Russo and their animation/production teams on how to research and build on fan engaged property that will "check in" with WotC but be consistent to their own media platform.

Assume our known associate writers will have the same level of inter platform shared data that the Arena team and the Novel team and the Franchise team have. The "lets make an IP based piece of consumer art" will be Hasbro's entertainment team and the production creatives.

OK now go forth and speculate! But think more like "Teen Titans and MCU" relationships to canon than "this will be controlled by what we're reading in real time coming from the mothership" remember the Cap is Hydra storyline happened in Print during Civil War in the MCU .
