So if I'm following this correctly, the Australian military has just raided Australia's leading broadcaster to try and seize files related to an expose about the military conducting unlawful killings in Afghanistan?

That is extremely fucked up.
Ok so it's Australia's FBI equivalent doing the raiding on behalf of the military I'm told. Anyway, not good.
The attack on press freedom is everywhere. I don't know if co-publishing with a news org in US (where we do, still, have the 1st Amendment) would have helped but...
