That is the point from just before the referendum.

I hope Osborne will take it upon himself to refute her belief that he really wants Brexit. (Another example of her delusional thinking).
This sort of gross misjudgment & misrepresentation especially as 1 manufacturer after another announce closures and cut backs is the sort of thing that MUST be identified and punished come the Public Inquiry.

A report back and thank you to all my followers for you help inngetting memout of the shadow ban I had.

It seems to have worked over 3 days by a combination of actions.

I stopped tweeting repeat messages to New Lib Dem members (sorry!) & varying them now. Retweeting fewer Gifs
It is disconcerting as I hadn’t realised I WAS shadow-banned until another Twitter user pointed it out having done a check using this tool.

Anyone can check their own account

But because you retweeted (I cut back on repeat tweets &odd hour tweeting) =OK

I’ll be a bit more alert now to my twitter feed going quiet, lots of tweets saying I can’t see tweets as my account settings are too sensitive (they aren’t), a change in fllwrs numbers or a sudden drop in the numbers of people I follow (where I’ve no recollection of unfollowing)

Scare tactics turn people off

That is a problem for Remainers who are scared by what seems a looming unpleasant reality.

Yet the £350 mill pw message has left people feeling cheated.

A message dichotomy.

But most think staying in the EU preferable to leaving with an bad deal
Cautionary note.

I could find no link to the underlying data tables on YouGov so do not know that cohort size or order of questions, but as New European had published it already and this gave more info I thought it was worth a follow up.

As we prepare for a #PeoplesVote there's been discussion on how Remain needs to listen to "the causes of Brexit"

I'm going to give the perspectives of 4 leavers I know, because potentially it's not that simple
2) these are friends and colleagues. All very well educated & in well paid work or comfortably settled. I can't say that they are representative, but there is a common theme in all their attitudes which I'll be honest in saying is fairly simplistic & not particularly appealing
3) the first said their reason for leaving was it was too easy for a migrant to get treatment on the NHS.

In terms of the NI issue & how reunification might impact "British" NI residents she said "well, if you're going to live there it's your own fault because it was a risk"

Brexit would make Metropolitan Elitism worse-

The Brexit vote was against our London-centric system. So if there's an economic hit because of a Brexit London voted against, Westminster would make sure the London Banking sector survived but everywhere else...
Many of the problems that pushed people to vote Brexit had nothing to do with the EU. One of those problems was the government choosing to protect the banks who caused the crash with bailouts while ordinary people just got austerity.
The rich took irresponsible risks with the country's future, but they were protected either by moving their money away or by the government and it was those with least who suffered the most.

1/ Very small thread on why #Brexit is actualy leading to the end of the UK or atleast the UK of the post war period as we understand it & its much, much more than *just* Irish & the Scots. Its as much about the English and its polity......
2/ Firstly tho Irish unification & Scottish independence - the 1st is likely to be accelerated once the inevitable demographic reality tips in (around 2030). Scottish Indy less predictable but in any case #Brexit vote confirmed a break - one that's even riven the Scottish Tories.
3/ What many dont get is that #Brexit will findamentally change "restUK" too. After UKs decline in 70s, EU membership enabled UK to be a big hitter - an atlanticist well armed, UN Sec Council member "big beast" inside a "global player" european trade bloc. This will change....

1) typical "you can't predict the future" response from brexit supporter. Lets consider it.

We know #Brexit will have a short to mid term impact, it has to due to ongoing uncertainty. Benefits must be long term.
However

2) according to Iain long term forecasts are ridiculous, one cannot predict the future 15 years hence therefore the leaked report is worthless

Fair enough, but equally, Brexit supporters cannot predict benefits 15 years hence - it's a complete unknown for them by the same token
3) so the #Brexit economic argument swaps relative prosperity for short term economic pain & a long term that is somewhere between very good & very bad, we just don't know, and neither do Brexiters, according to their world view.
Definite short term pain & 50-50 on long term pain
