In a speech at the FBI academy, Attorney General Bill Barr describes reentering DOJ service in terms of the D-Day landing, "trying to figure out how you could land, without getting shot." Barr says he has no regrets about coming back to lead the Justice Department.
Bill Barr has had tough words for former leaders of the FBI. But of the current FBI Director, Chris Wray, Barr expresses gratitude for his "outstanding leadership of the world's preeminent law enforcement agency."
Barr says he has revived an office inside the Justice Department to facilitate cooperation with state and local law enforcement partners, which he describes as essential for keeping violent crime rates low.
