Woah. House Oversight interviewed Kris Kobach on Monday about the census, and in a new memo the committee’s Democrats say the White House “interfered directly and aggressively” to try to prevent Kobach from answering questions about his WH meetings.

Fascinating tidbit that @kyledcheney flagged >> in the 2007 OLC opinion that the White House cites to block Kobach, appeals court judges explicitly said their ruling would *not* apply to congressional demands for information.
