NEW: This protest is blocking the entrance to Sacramento’s Pride festival, which has stopped the parade. They’re demonstrating against thr decision to allow uniformed police officers to march.

Demonstrators now blocking multiple entrances to Sac Pride, as some jump the fence to get in — to shouts of “Traitors!”
All entrances to the Sacramento Pride festival are currently being blocked by demonstrators, and the parade has been rerouted, it appears.
Update, they are now allowing people into the festival at the east entrance, two other entrances are currently blocked. People in line are asking them to let them in quickly, before demonstrators return and block the entrance again.
UPDATE: and now the entrance is blocked again, demonstrators rushed in front of the line and cut it off, people trying to get in are sprinting around the festival to find an open entrance #sacpride2019

When people realized demonstrators had blocked every entrance to today’s Sacramento Pride, in protest of organizers allowing uniformed police to march in the official parade, I saw a lot of these types of debates over peoples’ own battles for LGBTQ rights
But there was also a lot of this: Attendees trying to break through the demonstrators, who’s linked their arms in protest
This was the moment when Sac Pride attendees, frustrated by demonstrators blocking the entrance, finally had enough and decided to rush the blockade and pull down the fences. This was around 1pm, so they’d been trying to get in for at least an hour
