California is drowning. Not in water from melting glaciers, but in the bull-excrement emitted by legions of fake intellectuals who populate the fake media and fake educational system. A leading case in point is “diversity.” Everything is supposed to be “diverse.”
If you’re not diverse enough, watch out. That is, unless it concerns California’s state and local election process. Back in 2010, the state legislature put “Proposition 14” on the ballot, and it won. This proposition imposed a single primary on all parties.
And it required that only the top two candidates in votes from all the parties combined were to be allowed on the ballot in the actual election. So no small party’s candidate could ever appear on the ballot. (See bit.ly/2Zcjy7p)
As far as I know, no one has bothered to ask what this does to the ability of small parties to campaign and thus advertise their ideas and programs, and thereby possibly become larger in the future. It’s a process of aborting small political parties.
The media report all kinds of protests about all kinds of issues, I don’t remember a single protest or objection of any kind about this major violation of political freedom. In fact, the first time I ever even heard about this law was in California’s last gubernatorial election.
Then the brain-dead Republican Party celebrated the fact that its candidate had at least come in second, so that the Republican Party would have a place on the ballot.
If the Republican Party in California ever again comes to have leaders who do not display signs of having been lobotomized and castrated, it should combine with all the smaller parties and BOYCOTT all elections in California until this vicious law is repealed.
Its slogan should be “Free, Open Elections, Or No Elections.”
