Jesus Christ this place is like 15 minutes from my house. You know what that means...
This Ukrainian Orthodox “church-memorial” in Kerhonkson, New York was built by a Nazi collaborator and war criminal who led the OUN(m) Bukovinian Battalion, members of which likely participated in the Babi Yar massacre, the largest mass shooting of Jews in history.
The plaque quotes another WW2-era OUN(m) leader, of whom a monument was unveiled in 1980 at the OUN(m)-affiliated Organization for the Rebirth of Ukraine (ODWU)'s "Ukrainian Homestead" in Lehighton, Pennsylvania. The OUN set up the ODWU in 1929-1930 as a sister group in the US.
