The Hawthorne Police Department responded to my tweet about their cops surrounding an unarmed Black man, William, with their guns drawn, while he was kneeling on the ground with his hands behind his head.

Predictably, they try to justify their massive over-use of force.
And I don't know who the hell in the police department thought it was a good idea to post these responses on Twitter, but thank you.

I am sure your legal department is THRILLED. There's a little thing called liability.

Oh and you can delete them, but they're screen shot.
PS. Also, this is not one comment. They carry on an entire conversation with people in the thread. Maybe 10 or 15 tweets. It's this casual, almost jovial, type conversation. Insane. Exhibit B.
