So my dad worked here in the 60s and 70s. He now gets a small state pension monthly. They pay it into my account and I send it to him. But every so often they have to check that the person is alive by sending out a form called ‘I am alive’
They send it first time and if no reply they send it 3 months later. If no reply still, they stop the pension. But my dad never gets this letter. So I only know when the pension is stopped. I then call them to email me the form, I send it to him, he fills and returns by courier
What is bothering me is this - where do the letters go? It’s literally just a one page form with no personal details on it. He has a private mailbox in Ondo so I’m really keen to understand. Do you guys receive letters from abroad regularly?
