If you’ve reached out to us about fixing notifications, we have some updates! Our teams have been working to make your feedback come to life & improve notifications for everyone.

Today, we’re excited to share our first phase of improvements.

You’ve told us that the Occasional Bell could be confusing–through tests and user research, we’ve created a new name & design to more clearly communicate how it works.

‘Personalized’ because your notifications are automatically customized to the way you use YouTube.

We’ve improved the system behind notifications to make sure they’re being sent more consistently and reliably. As a result, we’ve greatly reduced outages and decreased the number of dropped notifications.

Tap the bell icon on mobile to see a new drop-down menu – from there, you can easily check your notification settings for a specific channel and toggle between the different notification options.

Creators–from YouTube Studio Analytics, you can now learn what % of your subs have selected All notifications, and how many of them can actually receive those notifications based on their YouTube & device settings. 📈📊
