1. For those among us who are in their first impeachment here's a bit of history to ponder:

Watergate break in was on June 17, 1972;
The House initiated formal impeachment proceedings on February 6, 1974; SCOTUS ordered the tapes released to the grand jury on July 24, 1974;
2. Nixon was forced to resign on August 9, 1974.

IMO there are tapes of Trump and the Kremlin planing the attack. Many. And they will expose many @SenateGOP and contributors as co-conspirators.

Barr and Trump have opened the door by claiming they were targets of spying.
3. Traitors are always legitimate targets of counterintelligence surveillance. And Trump was dumb enough to call Moscow to plot a cyber attack on the US. Even if we didn't intercept him, many other countries would have. Mueller didn't touch any of that. Walled himself from it.
4. And I'm 90% certain Barr shut Mueller down at Trump's orders. They both agreed to keep that little secret. But the counterintelligence investigation is ongoing. Nobody got away with this. FBI needs to get the whole crew. The GOP corruption is much deeper than just Trump.

The House should strike out all the @WhiteHouse budget if @realDonaldTrump does not fire @KellyannePolls. @SpeakerPelosi should strike out any @SecretService for the @tump kids except Baron. Make Trumps pay for being lawless.
I looked at the statute and I think POTUS may be able to keep @KellyannePolls on the property but paying her with appropriated funds will be illegal. That means when money is paid to Kellyanne it may also be a false federal claim. It may expose her to criminal sanctions and
disgorgement. What about @gtconway3d ? Will he be knowingly receiving the benefit of federal appropriated funds that have been used in violation of the Hatch Act? Could he be subject to criminal sanctions or civil actions to recover it? I don't know, but if George guesses

1.@TheDemocrats can't remove Trump alone but we can make all the @SenateGOP in the 2020 cycle face endless crowds of demonstrators calling them traitors when they're in their districts. Peaceful and unrelenting. Remember what Indivisible did? We need that for these @SenateGOP:
2. These 4 are very vulnerable. In states 2018 midterm total was blue. @TheDemocrats need candidates and social media organization to bury these members in constant calls for them to be charged with treason.

Those old Perry Class Frigates turned out to be pretty tough. Hate to watch that but I guess they make marine habitats so it's okay. Here's another shot at an old destroyer. MK-48 Torpedo takes out a destroyer. Torpedoes are a big deal. via @YouTube

A note on #impeachment -

In a court of law, under non-presidential circumstances, impeachment is a tool litigation attorneys use to discredit the opposing side's witnesses at trial. When said witness takes the stand under oath attys. present evidence contrary to what the witness
claims. This weakens the other side's case by discrediting impeached witnesses's testimony. Once a witness has been impeached - by presentment of inconsistent testimony - the judge/jury can no longer use the impeached witnesses's testimony in reaching a verdict.
Simply put, they aren't trustworthy. In the case of Presidential impeachment that broad definition of impeachment applies, but the impeachment tool is used for a very different purpose. Under the Constitution, a sitting President cannot be tried in a court of law for anything.

3...will do mortal damage to American democracy if tolerated. Not proceeding toward impeachment proceedings means tolerating all of these things, though it is possible to deceive oneself on that point. The political argument @NateSilver538 makes is about American voters.

“He’s just not worth it” is brilliant messaging.

Setting aside the actual question, this message blows up GOP messaging in advance of 2020.

Pelosi is saying to the GOP, “You want to make this election about defending that pathetic orange sniveling bully? Have fun with that.”
Pelosi goes on to say that “unless there’s something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan” we shouldn’t go down the road of impeachment.

BIPARTISAN is the key word there.

“Compelling and overwhelming” evidence exists.

But Republicans stand by Trump anyway.

Our Founders anticipated someone like Trump. They never anticipated a full 50% of lawmakers would support that person no matter what.

That reality puts Pelosi and other Dem leaders in a challenging position.

Without some GOP participation, impeachment will be mere theater.
