Fierce piece of analysis from @AdamSerwer on that intra-right debate about whether or not they can allow liberal democracy to continue because they don't like the cultural outcomes. theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/…
I especially appreciate (at least) two aspects of the piece. One, @AdamSerwer puts the magnitude of the debate in context, correctly identifying it as an argument inside a "walled garden." At the same time, he's clear about the danger that attaches to the ideas if pursued.
Unlike the critiques from the right which take on a "sky is falling" tone anytime a college student does a single questionable thing (for ex.), Sewer very carefully outlines what's being discussed and what's at stake that neither inflames or minimizes the issue.
