/ Thanks to everyone for the excellent dialogue on #CRCL. Let's not forget how important control of the dialogue is to Musk. Super-focused on it always, literally, orders of magnitude focused on it. . .
/ Here's a perfect example: Who remembers all the negative stories that popped up regarding worker safety during 2Q and 3Q? Business Insider, CNBC, the Verge, LA Times all had stories out on worker safety and plant injuries. Must have driven Musk crazy because. . .
/ On the Q3 call, he trots out Laurie Shelby, previously unheard of on calls, to discuss worker safety. Here's the transcript. Remember, many of the stories touched on under-reporting of injuries. Now read this.
/ And who can forget Q2 18 when, after a slew of stories on AP not working or causing fatal accidents, we were treated to a symposium on AP issues. Company had lost boatloads, was behind on production, and he wants to discuss AP issues.
So yeah, the only thing he cares about is shaping a narrative and controlling or eliminating blowback. He's so thin-skinned, he almost can't help himself. So, the existence of the subpoenas had to have scared him no end.
