🚨WE NEED YOUR HELP📢
Rodrigo Ruiz, a Peruvian🇵🇪 citizen has been living in the 🇺🇸 for 15 yrs and is fighting to stay to keep his son -- who's battling severe cerebral palsy -- here, where he can get the best medical attention.

Now he's being forced out by @ICEgov. Why?
Rodrigo entered the U.S. under a B1/B2 visa in '05 and became an overstay when he and his family realized that the only way to get their oldest son, Adrian the proper medical attention he needed was here. In the United States.
An official order of removal was placed in 2010. But for the past 7 yrs he has been on a stay of removal (a temporary postponement, which prevents @DHSgov from issuing removal).

*how many times can you say removal? 🙄
His last stay was approved on February 2, 2017 based on the severe disability of his oldest son Adrian, who suffers from a seizure disorder and is dependent on a feeding tube for his nutritional needs.
Adrian’s medical team includes neurology, orthopedic, pulmonolgy and gastroenterology specialists. Make no mistake: this would not be possible in Peru.

Even here, Rodrigo works 3 jobs to cover the costs of his son's treatment & his wife, Cynthia, is Adrian's full time caretaker.
This past February Rodrigo's council submitted another application for a stay of removal and @USCIS approved employment authorization.

But just a few weeks ago, without prior notice @ICEgov denied Rodrigo’s request & ordered him to depart the U.S. no later than June 21, 2019.
In their denial, @ICEgov stated that they had reviewed the “humanitarian concerns” raised in the application but that their review found that the totality of the circumstances did not warrant their "favorable exercise of discretion."
Rodrigo has no criminal history and no encounters with law enforcement, not even a traffic ticket.

Without his presence & role as the sole provider for his son, Adrian’s prognosis is grim here.
And if the family were to move back, even the formula that saves Adrian's life is not available in Peru.

“For this family, quite frankly, it’s a death sentence for that little boy,” says Rodrigo's attorney, Michelle Saenz-Rodriguez.
⏰Time is running out & we have to act FAST.

So what can you do to help support the Ruiz family?
1. Attend the rally happening TOMORROW in Dallas, TX
2. Reach out to @ICEgov to ask them to reconsider HERE: raicestexas.org/action/stop-de…
UPDATE: At the rally in Dallas earlier today @ICEgov was refusing to let Rodrigo and his attorney into their offices #SaveAdriansDad
🎉 GOOD NEWS: RODRIGO DOES NOT HAVE TO LEAVE BY THIS FRIDAY. @ICEgov has granted him a 3 month stay of removal, according to his attorney, Michelle Saenz-Rodriguez.
@ICEgov REMINDER: Let's not forget that this is only one step towards our goal. Rodrigo and his family need to stay here permanently. #JuntosVamosAPoder ✊🏽💚
