Around the last week of October I was aware of 2 big conferences which would bring together a lot of new traders, & a few struggling ones, & I had made up my mind to speak at one of these on #MarketProfile and using the message of the market well, to stay ahead of the curve(1/n)

It was a choice for me, and I wanted to offer my time to the one who first came to me. Of the two, TC had built a reputation for conducting these events, and DE was a new kid on the block with people who had previously worked with TC. So there was no choice between the 2 actually

For those unaware, the 2 groups bring together a section of speakers through a discretionary process , for benefits ranging from gate money which is the price you pay for entry to sponsorships to selling their charting software which is true for DE and so far not the case with TC

Of course there are marketing teams, being employed to promote the event, who are fellow traders you may know, some do it directly out of friendship or "help" and others may not even know they are being used to market the event :)

Which is all fine, but the problem comes, when they use the so called friends to malign each other. Again a covert process, and even with the denials in place, you should know the motto and game here is just to show that I can do this better than you or I am the 'Real Mccoy'

That part is not fine.
It's an open market with a place for everyone & surely the reader & the new trader is intelligent enough to make the decision for himself as to the place he wants to go to or the speaker he wants to listen to and interact with for the duration of the event

The surprise is that all of these guys know each other, and if they are saying something today, just know..... that you need to measure that against what they said about each other a few years back.

The truth could be somewhere in between !

So we have people telling others which is better, and what the new trader should do with his money! Excuse me!! It is the traders money and he is intelligent enough to go to either website and decide for himself what needs to be done & where he needs to go with his money ...

which brings me back to my participation at one of the two. Do I rate one better than the other? No way ...There are traders who need the help.... and they are same at both places ...I went with TC as he came to me first & please give him credit for starting this for traders here

Do I stand for every other speaker over there? No way. I'm a part not the whole. Anyways I don't care about who else is presenting. I'm going there for the attendees & even if I have 1 trader who understands and gets his trading mindset altered I think it will be time well spent.

Back to you and if I were you I would definitely go to a place where I can meet some traders to craft an edge. The least I would walk away with is a few contact numbers from fellow attendees enough to form a networking group on WA or twitter :) The upside is upto you.

When we signed up as traders, we opened ourselves up to decision making . If you can't make decisions, you cannot survive here and you have to make a decision, just like how I did between the two.
