2. It is not people who study climate change scientifically (God bless'm) that I have any issue with. It's the streak of climate cultism which has a mindset that human beings are unworthy of inhabiting the planet that I find revolting.
3. Such a mindset is misanthropy cloaked in environmentalist virtue. This Malthusian nonsense was discredited a long time ago as human ingenuity in growing food far outstripped academic claptrap.
4. Now it is raising its ugly head again in the name of planetary fragility. It was bunk then, and it is bunk now. Back then, theorists at least had some compunction about making a scientific argument. Now it is all about striking virtue-signalling poses.
5. It is not racist, xenophobic, or any of a litany of epithets leftists throw around to scuttle debate, to study demographic implications. Douglas Murray's book "The Strange Death of Europe" talks about Europe's "suicide," a decision made not by voters but by elites.
