I have to say, I find it shocking to hear CA legislators pity Senator Pan and the way he is treated by us. Like he’s a victim. His followers tell us they hope our kids die- he leaves the comments. He assaulted the parent of a child in a wheelchair from his vaccines.
He ignores us. He refuses to meet with his constituents. He lies during hearings to his colleges and WE are silenced. For GASPING. Gasps are offensive. Calling him a liar, which he is, is offensive, but SOMEHOW his lies are not.
Few lawmakers hear us or care... unless we gasp during a hearing, then of course THAT is heard loud and clear, and we are silenced. Pan was Committee chair for kids with special needs- he did ZERO. He doesn’t care about our kids. Never has.
And his colleagues praise him and apologize to him for us not being kind or overly respectful to him. Why would we be? The man can’t even look a CA citizen in the eye and have a conversation with them. He is a coward who only asserts himself under the committee chair protection
His colleagues pretend to feel pity for Pan who’s just “trying to do the right thing” meanwhile they are well aware of committee member shuffling to pass the vote. They somehow think we aren’t?
CA legislators: do me a favor. Imagine you’re sitting in a hearing trying to protect your own kids. You see a senator flat out lying and yet you aren’t allowed to call them out. You are silenced and treated like a mosquito.
You see some friendly faces but overall, they just want you out of there and you know it. Their minds are made up. They don’t care about your story or your child. They are going through the motions until the last one of you gets to say ONE sentence.
You listen to this Senator make false statements over and over again and you have proof with you that disproves his statements. Doesn’t matter. You are a number. An insignificant one. So are your children. They vote based off of misinformation.
You tell me how respectful you’d be. I’ll wait...
