I haven't heard the tape, & know nothing not public, but here's what the reports I've read suggest was the rough sequence of events.+
+Boris is on the sofa on his laptop, presumably reading Tory election news. He upends his wine glass on the sofa. He jumps up. Carrie jumps in to try to clean up to rescue her sofa.+
+It's not the 1st time he's done something like this. He's slovenly & careless. She tells him off as she cleans, saying he's always doing things like this because he's rich & entitled & has no respect for other people's possessions. She's sick of it.+
+Boris tries to reach around her to retrieve his laptop. She misinterprets this as a clumsily mis-timed attempt at soothing affection, & yells at him to get off her, to leave her alone. She's had it. As she scrubs she tells him to get out of her flat.+
+He says he's not going to do that, not least cos he needs his laptop & she's on top of it. She hollers at him some more about what a waste of space he is. Eventually one of them loses it totally: perhaps he throws the wine glass at the wall; maybe she throws the laptop at him.+
+Big smash. The shock of that loud bang silences them both.+
+Now, maybe the above is nothing like what actually happened, but that's how it plays out in my head from the newspaper reports.
