I’ve been this way before, mostly when I was depressed or felt otherwise maltreated, but, outside of that, I really don’t understand people who feel resentment at others joy & try to deflate, needle or otherwise shut it down.
We’ve all experienced the phenomenon where were absolutely obsessed and excited about something and when we try to communicate it to someone, they just don’t ‘get’ it
But whether or not that becomes frustrating, humiliating and/or discouraging depends on how that person responds—bemused at and happy for you, or resentful at your joy and/or their inability to understand.

Y'all need to understand that entitled white racists call the police on people of color for simply existing because white comfort and white "safety" have ALWAYS included the violent removal and exclusion of people of color, BEGINNING with Native Americans and enslaved Africans.
White supremacy produced and institutionalized a warped and deranged sense of "safety" for whites only that REQUIRES violent harm and harassment directed toward people defined and perceived as "non white"
This is what happens when you build a society on racial genocide and torture. This is what happens when "safety" has been defined for and by white people as the absence of people of color FOR CENTURIES.
