The right to end one’s personal suffering is on the stand tonight in NZ.

Will NZ politicians bow to the powerful religious lobby against euthanasia, or allow people to freely choose when it’s their end of days?

I favour the Euthanasia Bill, with protection against exploitation
A poll in May 2019 showed 74% of New Zealanders support the right to choose to end one’s suffering (whether from cancer or severely debilitating disease) - ie euthanasia.

Only 20% voted against it.

Interestingly, a poll by Curia (which based on Dirty Politics revelations seemd to be the polling tool of the National Party) reportedly has different results also in May 2019 - which calls to question the validity of polls

57% agreed to euthanasia

IMO 1. Many polls are likely being used to influence public opinion (which would explain significantly different results in a similar period); and
2. The framing of questions and framing of analyses are likely being used to brain wash th public rather than provide objective info
IMO NZ needs laws that require every poll that is publicly published to:
1. Indicate what person, party or org it was who paid for and/or requested the poll
2. Who provided the questions
3. Provide publicly accessible links to actual questions, raw data, and sampling method
