This is the kind of thing that caused Brexit, resulted in Trump getting in (despite the efforts by powerful Deep Staters against him).

I am not against needs based immigration, and allowing set numbers of carefully vetted refugees in. I am strongly against chain migration other than spouses and children (a policy which is demonstrably changing the cultural landscape of countries).
But when you have illegal immigrants getting the right to health care, education, housing, social services (and even the right to vote) - you can expect those who are citizens to object - no matter how much Big Brither globalist technocrats forbid it as a form of Thought Crime.
I will polish off my crystal ball and make a prediction:
The illegals coming into the US at the border plus relentless attacks against Trump (hypocritically ignoring what Obama did because he also had to deal with it) to protect the US border - will likely work in Trump’s favour
