You know those ear plugs handed out by Kenney in Alberta?

Well, Kenney isn’t that creative to have come up with the idea independently.

There is a coordinated effort to remove the left’s voice by far right in US and in Canada.

Kenney & his Cabinet in AB are using the EXACT same tactics that Republicans are using to silence dissent, block opposition from doing their job, halt discussion of policy implications and drown out voices they don’t want heard.

That isn’t democracy. That’s called tyranny.

Democratic systems are designed to provide balance between opposing ideologies and checks on favouring certain groups over others in policy.

Remove opposition and you remove democratic checks and balance.

It’s not surprising or unanticipated that the far right is choosing to silence any and all opposition to its agenda. That’s what autocrats & tyrants do. That’s what Ford, Moe and Kenney have done provincially. And what Canadians can expect from a Scheer lead CPC Government.

We shouldn’t be surprised by the increase in uncivilized & anti-democratic behaviour by the far right.

But we do need to stop believing democratic principles are part of the far rights ideology. Enabling a healthy check and balance is not a principle Conservatives support.

That’s why there are multiple examples to be found in both countries.

A Democracy is only attainable if leaders and people adhere to democratic principles. A strong opposition is essential to have a strong democracy.

There is no doubt the far right does NOT WANT DEMOCRACY.

Shouting down opposing opinions; removing power from those who provide checks and balance; replacing civility & respect with stunts, disrespect and derision. These are the actions of tyrants.

Kenney, Moe, Ford all meet the definition of tyrant. So do Mitch McConnel and Donald Trump. Their policies and actions seek to oppress portions of the populations they supposedly serve.

So does Scheer. Who is supported by Cooper, Raitt, Rempel, Poilievre, Ford, Moe & Kenney.

TYRANTS ARE IN CHARGE OF 3 PROVINCES. ENOUGH TO SWING THE ELECTION IN SCHEER’S FAVOUR.

Canada, please wake up!Democracy is compromise and cooperation to meet MOST of the needs of ALL citizens, not just the leaders supporters.

Leaders who ignore opposition are tyrants!

Democracies don’t elect tyrants. They elect leaders who try to meet the needs of all groups. Like buying a pipeline and supporting climate action at the same time. That’s democracy. That’s democratic principles in action.

If you plan on voting for a leader or party that won’t compromise or cooperate to meet everyone’s needs, you’re supporting tyranny.

It’s that simple.

Democracy itself is on the ballot. Who and what are you choosing to support? Tyranny of a minority/majority or democracy?
