Distinguished the FG is not allocating lands, the FG is working with states to develop a livestock program to solve the myriads of problems associated with herders and farmers. Both are farmers - animal and crop farmers.

#RUGA The FG spends billions on crop farmers - Anchor borrowers loans, mills, fertilizer blending plants, improved seeds, tractors. The FG just unveiled another plan for cotton farmers but any attempt by the FG to intervene in cattle farming is always resisted. Why??
#RUGA what exactly is the motive behind this attacks. The govt is electrifying markets, building trailer parks, dry cargo ports but the govt cannot build farm settlements because the people are "Fulanis". They don't deserve any form of govt support.

Try and read more now that you are less busy. The FG intervenes in all sub sectors of Agric. If you study the fishing sector, you will realize that the FG has a policy through the FMARD to assist fish farmers. Your comparison is baseless..
The Nigerian Union of Fishermen and Seafood dealers relate with the FG, the same way Rice farmers, cotton farmers, cattle dealers also relate with the FG. Here they are, asking for fishing vessels. Are they not private businessmen?

Read the National Aquaculture strategy and understand the various levels of govt intervention. Your boss Saraki acquired several hectares of land from villagers in Shonga Kwara state for Zimbabwean farmers that aren't even Nigerians ! Built houses for them, kept them in hotels.

Apparently AIT had already filed a case in court on May 30th, sensing that NBC would come for their jugular. The judge asked both parties to maintain status quo as at May 30 when AIT filed its case..

The court rejected 2 prayers sought by AIT -
To prevent NBC from jamming their signals and invading their premises.

The law can be very funny at times with different interpretations. I am a Medical doctor and let's assume I have my clinic and a pharmaceutical company. My regulators are NAFDAC and MDCN.
They are established by the laws of the land to regulate my activities in the healthcare space. I also have clearly written guidelines from both of them, which I agreed to before obtaining my license to practise and run my pharmaceutical company.

We gave up production of virtually everything in this country and became a nation of traders and importers. Banks were not lending to the productive sectors, and where they did lend, the interest rates were such that nobody could pay back. Agriculture was the first victim.
We reached a point where we were buying rice worth $5 million a day. Everything was being imported. Nigeria became a very sweet source of foreign exchange earnings for other countries. And it was all looking so rosy because oil revenue was being used to support importation;
