Mayor DeBlasio staffer finally has his day in court.

He was arrested and then charged in July of 2017!!!

He plead guilty to possessing Child Porn!

Interesting enough, DeBlasio was HRC's Campaign Manager for her year 2000 Senate Campaign.

After University of Ottawa campus security carded and arrested black student @Jamal_KB, I’m posting video of security forcing into my office and carding me and my black PhD student @bumblebrie. I complained, but nothing was done about it. #racism @uottawa
This security guard not only intimidated my PhD student during her comprehensive exams, but he was dishonest about University Policy 33. That policy says security "are authorized to REQUEST proof of identity", and not that one must provide it. uottawa.ca/administration…
The security guard pretended that we called 911 to bring him there. We did not. But it was his pretext for entering without permission, carding, and refusing to leave.

Today in everyday #racism my family and I are at @FairfieldHotels and the front desk clerk asked for a second person's ID since mine is expired. Ok fine. My daughter who is 21 gives hers. Mind you the rooms are registered to her and I.
She states "I see you have a driver what about his ID" referring to my fiance.
Mind you the only white person on the trip.
Kayla presents her ID. She takes it then says "oh I need a driver's license" to which I said
"What if I didn't have a DL then what?"
She then gave us our keys and checked us in.
At that time we requested a 3rd room. They didn't have one. She knew we had 7 ppl in 2 king rooms.

Last night, a group of friends and I reserved an Airbnb in NYC, and encountered a racist and rude host.

When we arrived to our @Airbnb, we were harassed several times before being thrown out at 2 am. Her reasonings were because she felt unsafe, she assumed we were going to
steal and destroy her property. After being harassed by her nonstop, she then told us to “Get the fuck out of her house immediately!” We cooperated and began to pack our things to leave.

As we were packing, she burst in the door with a camera.
We asked her to at least respect our privacy while packing since someone had just gotten out of the shower. She yells “No, it’s my house. Get the fuck out! You are all criminals! I don’t feel safe in my home!” She later asked us “Which monkey is sleeping on the couch?”

I lost over 100 followers this week standing up for WOC being attacked by white women.
I'm sorry to have lost them because it means those folks missed the point.
White people have an obligation to POC in America because of the damage #racism inflicts even if we aren't #racist.

Acknowledging our flaws goes against ego.
But it's essential.
I know I am a strong person with strong Socialist politics.
I know I can be intense.
But I am a fiundamentally kind person who doesn't want to hurt people.

At times I know I <have> hurt people--we all have.
And that is my point: If people tell you you have hurt them, listen.
I don't mean casual snark, but hurt.
Listen.
Say you are sorry.
Repentance is under-utilized and under-valued, and that's not just my Catholicism talking.
