Most violent crimes are now credited to 'Fulani', particularly crimes committed in Southern Nigeria. Criminals must be laughing at our stupidity, rather than focus on the criminal acts and seek a solution, folks are speaking of revenge attack, who are you going to attack, please?
Governments at all levels, particularly the federal government led by Pres @MBuhari have sure failed to tackle the issue of kidnapping headlong nationally, it has gone beyond common crime, it is like an invasion, deserving of war status. Ethnic blame game benefits the criminals
4 those ramping on about revenge attacks, kindly tell me your modus operandi, are you going into the bush to fight the criminals or you will just randomly attack any Fulani man you see in town? Then the Fulani in other parts of Nigeria will give your tribal men flowers in return?
It is a fact that the majority of arrests made by the police regarding kidnappings on our highways are of Fulani ethnic stock, it is also a fact that victims have been from all Nationalities, ask people in Kaduna, Zamfara, Yobe. The criminals are not attacking for ethnic reasons.
From reports made by some victims, including Fulani victims, some of the kidnappers are not Nigerians. Highlighting the failure of the government to see the attack as an attack on our territorial integrity and escalating its response. Rather the federal govt seems to be in denial
The insecurity in the country is at an alarming rate, this isn't a party issue, it is also not a North and South issue, it is an issue the @MBuhari govt, state and local governments must wake up to and address without bias. Criminals don't identify you by your party affiliations.
Whilst the anger is justified, it should be channelled to the government charged with the instrument of power to defend its citizens but failing to grasp the escalation with regards to kidnappings and insecurity on Nigerian highways. Isolate the criminals.
Those instigating so-called 'revenge attacks' have only 1 agenda, that makes the innocent, peace-loving members of our community pay for the crime of criminals they are only linked to by tribe, if that happens, counter attacks will lead to chaos, the wish of those who want chaos.
The State is failing, leading to chaos. The time for both @MBuhari and @ProfOsinbajo to wake up is now. We have said it time and time again that the current state of insecurity is unacceptable. We have military formations across the country, why are they not involved in the war?
