1. A Heart Rending Story That Puts Congressional Democrats To Shame

Watch this mother's testimony about her lost child. Will bring a lump to your throat.
cnn.com/2019/07/12/pol…
2. But she never tells us whose fault it is. Democrats assume the viewers will hold Trump admin responsible ... just because. For all we know, and I actually expect, authorities in charge made heroic efforts to save the child. What can we do to stop such tragedies from happening?
3. The sad and tragic truth is, despite our noble desires but also unbelievable hubris, America cannot prevent every tragedy in the world. This mother had to make a very tragic decision to put her 2 year old through an ordeal that the child did not survive.
4. The child died in American custody, but the child did not die because of American custody. More likely, it was either some incurable disease or the unbearable journey that took this child's life.
5. It is shameful for the Congressional Democrats to exploit this tragedy for political gain. Democrats in Congress haven't done anything for the past two years to change the laws that invite such tragedies. They refuse to cooperate with Trump admin to reform immigration laws.
6. In her own testimony the mother clearly states that she wanted to come to America so her child could have a better and safer life. Which mother wouldn't want that?
7. But what gave her the idea that the way to do it was to put her child through a dangerous, life-threatening journey, to cross the border into the U.S. illegally? I bet it was the word of mouth from other such migrants who made the journey before her.
8. And what made those who came before her get asylum in the U.S. for the simple reason that they wanted their child to have a "better and safer future?" It was the liberal reinterpretation of laws that were designed in the aftermath of Holocaust and such.
9. The asylum laws were designed to provide refuge to those running from a genocide or ethnic cleansing, etc. They were not designed to provide refuge from economic hardship or domestic violence and such.
10. Of course our heart goes out to people suffering from such hardships in their own countries. We provide an unbelievable amount of aid to bring those countries up economically, but only they can improve their own law and order situation.
11. The harsh truth is if we opened our borders to all economic migrants, our country will be overrun by such migrants in a few short years, once the word gets around far and wide.
12. It is not just the proximate countries south of the border. In this day and age, it doesn't take long for the whole operation to fly people over close to our southern border to be commercialized legally or illegally.
13. The number of people in the world who will be willing to scrounge enough money to make the journey to our southern border if they could get into the U.S. thereafter doesn't run into thousands or even millions, it could easily be billions.
14. We need Congress to wake up, stop mindlessly politicizing the issue, and pass serious laws to deal with the situation in the most humane and yet most realistic way possible.
15. The cost in human lives of playing politics on this is ultimately born by the few who truly deserve refuge in the U.S. but get lost in the shuffle because our politicians are too busy scoring self-serving political points using migrants as pawns in their political games.
16. Don't trust any politician who only plays up sob stories and points a finger of blame at someone or the other without offering alternatives and solutions for what they complain about. Ask every member of Congress what legislative solution they are working on and support.
17. Ignore the fire-breathers and those with crocodile tears. They are a complete waste of time and space. And as for family separations at the border, see the truth below.

The End.
Only five years ago, in 2014, even Obama could have explained it to fellow Democrats that asylum laws were not designed to create open borders. How far to the left the Democratic Party has moved in just five short years. Shame!
