Taking figures out of context to try to prove a political point. Shall we just look at these ONS figures for exports?
Total exports. Seem to have been rising for many years. So we can't put this down to Government policy since 2016 one way or another.
EU balance of trade does reflect a sharp change in recent months. Best advice with all of these things is to wait for some more months figures to see whether this was just an anomaly - as you can see ups and downs are quite frequent
As to what this has to do with Brexit, the UK economy since 2016, and what would happen after 2019 - well you can use it any way you like, to say EU is wonderful or terrible if you are sufficiently politically inclined. But they tell us little on their own
