1/Am continually impressed w/Biden's narrative and his media. Feels well tuned to a large part of the Democratic electorate right now. So core to the moment is his question - do we want more years of upheaval after Trump's historical extremism? IMHO for most Ds answer is no.
2/Many competing dynamics in Dem Party now but still feel most powerful dynamic is one we saw in 2018 - Dem/indy voters are scared by the moment, and want serious people to lead them now. People of accomplishment, achievement, service. Less abt ideology and more about gravity.
3/Just wasn't any kind of leftward swing in 2018 - 40 of 59 new House freshman have joined House New Dems, Justice Dems lost 60 of 67 races. Warren/Sanders combined in low 30s. Some of the Dem Presidentials should have played closer attention to 2018 and less to 2016.
4/Long way to go in 2020 primary but as someone who had a senior role at super successful DCCC in 2018 Biden campaign is tapping into very similar sentiment as our candidates did last year. Feels very in tune with the moment. Ready to lead, pragmatic and a bit of courage too.
