He's so scared he used a previously scheduled distraction North Carolina rally to talk shit about 4 American congresswomen who overcame unbelievable odds to do the hard work he could never imagine doing. "Send her Back," they chanted...

Let's be real. DJT is losing his shit. Karma sent four women of color to bring on his apocalypse and he can't believe how bad this is going. But this little thread isn't about rehashing. It's about you.

Look, you know second place doesn't mean second class right? Or in your case third or fourth....stolen land, money built on free human labor, racial terrorism, exclusionary laws, redlining, tax tricks, segregation, separate&unequal mean white ppl have a cushion like it or not.

And that's not a judgment...this is just a fraction of the historical advantages that still matter today. We forgot aesthetic preferential treatment, awards for white adjacency, knowing that nude tights means you...sigh. your collective power will not disappear overnight.

But the media has had one question for almost 12 years now...maybe more..."Will white people share or cede power?" "Will white people accept second place?" "Can white America allow its own demise?"

Let me drop it down like this...these questions are meant to be "racially titillating," to provoke knee jerk reactions, appeal to base fear and to make people's minds explode for nothing.

We are blood relatives white America. I'm speaking as a Black person. We are genetic cousins. Southern white people you got more African DNA than you know and no thanks to enslavement we are cousins to millions of white people around the globe.

You need to be reminded of this when people talk about "send them back." That shit doesn't work on us. We have more Native ancestry than any other group outside of Indigenous Americans, our blood and bones reflect the arduous tortuous years of early America bc we built this.

We are relatives. This gets lost in the rhetoric. Just like Central Americans being largely Native gets lost. We are being pulled apart bc we have ignored or are ignorant of our place in Atlantic and global history.

Sorry to remind u but DJT is ruining our fucking birthday party. In August we will have been here 400 years. 1619-2019 It's been as Ta-Nehisi Coates put it "a majestic tragedy" wrapped in triumph wrapped in WTH but it's our damn birthday.

Last time this thing came around it was 1919, after we served this country in droves. But after 300 years in what became British mainland North America we got a summer full of race riots because some white folks couldn't stand the idea of a Black man in uniform...with a gun...

Despite exploitation we have co created an American culture. Despite many injustices it is us, people of African descent, descendants of the enslaved of 1619-1865 have continually forced this country to live up to its ideal even when it didnt want to.

Despite inheriting prejudices from other people we have built alliances in this country that have changed the world. We were Osceola's wife, Blacks working with Italians in unions, Huey Newton extending an branch to early LGBT activists, we held up our first with Gloria Steinem

We are not strangers. We have fought for this country, we have resisted oppression here because IT IS NOT AMERICAN to put a foot on our neck and demand we say thank you. It is not anyone's birthright to put others down in the name of American identity.

So there will be no "love it or leave it." There will be no "go back to where you came from," there will be no blasting us about legitimate grievances, and there will be no concocted fears abt a demographic shift with people u share genes, history, conversations and narratives.

Today we declare independence frm "you don't belong." Heed the words of @RevDrBarber this isnt abt your color, your belief systems or freedom not to believe at all, ur gender or orientation, nationality, class,creed or language or ability. We are a family w problems to solve. Now
