Children’s International School (formerly aitalian School) is not a public school. Parents that send their kids there understand the terms and condition and don’t see from your prism. For them, no price can be put on education of this quality. Let me paint a few pictures (Thread)
Many years back I consulted for this brand while they were sharing compound with AGIP Italian School for kids of expatriates. The proprietor built her vision from ground up hiring her weaknesses painstakingly. Most of the superheroes of St. Saviors Ikoyi were poached for effect.
It wasn’t an easy climb. My firm was the only ISP provider in Lekki as at the time and they were one of our clients in the days were dialup Multilinks/Intercellular were the only alternative for internet services. I know the struggles they went through to build what you see now.
Pay the school a visit and see the quality of education offered with a combination of curriculums. 30-40% of the students are kids of expatriates and it is also one of the leading all inclusive schools without discrimination. They don’t owe salaries and teachers are well paid.
The school is not for everyone neither does being rich guarantee you an automatic space. You can be on the waiting list for years. This is a school where parents can sue you for scolding their kids. So they have to prepare for whatever and put modalities in place to avoid issues.
Those calling for regulation must be guided. In which part of the world do you hear people clamor to regulate a business for being unique? Do you clamor for the regulation of Apple products because you can’t afford it? Do you ban luxurious homes because you can’t live there?!
Those who know the value of Gold are the ones that merchants market it to while imitation market caters to the desires of the deluded wishing to belong without a corresponding discipline to earn such a living. Live and let live. Those patronizing the school are not complaining.
With all due respect people do all sort of businesses & not everyone charge what you charge because our ethos, pathos and business culture are not the same. While some grow with their clients others rip them off for immediate gains. U can’t regulate what U owe no responsibility.
Ask Nigerians sending their kids abroad the cost incurred in countries where the use of generator is not normalized as a culture. Compare it to the hurdles the international schools face in Nigeria. They’re providing global environment/experience within our chaotic clime.
It is not cheap. I say all this because a day will come when you will see my invoice & scream likewise. Advocacies don’t come cheap. Patriots are contributing their hard earned funds to a just cause to make society better since all our children can’t attend same schools.
Some of are not called for everyone in the business circle. While we stick to our niche in our legal dealings, we contribute to society in a way Government can’t and should be respected for who we are. This school is neither a public school nor are they forcing anyone to act.
...End of Celestial Admonition...

Let’s cut our coat according to our cloth. Fingers can never be equal. We are all uniquely different and should learn to stay in our lanes. 😇
This is not a question of right or wrong or good and evil. It is a question of aligned or non-aligned. It is a conversation on values & pricing. You don’t know their story nor understand their investment going almost 20years. Your Gavel is useless in this discourse. Dig deeper.
