In the name of Justice, I will like to objectively comment on this having done my due diligence on the matter. Things are not always what they seemed. Let me make a few clarifications and allow everyone make up their minds on this issue for the records. (Short thread)👇🏾

Every right thinking man in position of authority appreciates the effort of women leaving their footprints in the sands of time, especially in a male dominated cum misogynistic environment such as ours. This perspective however backfires in some cases, just like the one question.

When the erstwhile Chief Judge (a devout Christian) of the state retired, the same Kebbi State Governor being accused by Hon. Justice Elizabeth Asaba Karatu, expressly facilitated her ascension to the position of Acting Chief Judge, to crown her efforts & confirm her feat.
She was appointed acting Chief Judge 4days before the impending retirement of Hon Justice Bala Ibrahim Mairiga (30th Oct 2017) according to section 271 (4) of the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended. She was the most senior judge of the high court.
The process was not only transparent but objective. The problem however started when the State house Of Assembly began vetting only to find alterations and inconsistencies in her documents, particularly on her Date if birth and primary school cert leading to confirmation issues.
The Governor from real ike sources tried as much to re-submit her recommendation 4 times to the State House Of Assembly but she was rejected based on inconsistencies in her documents. 
When the Chief Judge was asked about the alterations in her documents she was alleged to have stated that her headmaster altered her date of birth and year of graduation from primary school. We all know the implication of this on retirement in the ministry.
She complicated matters for herself by proceeding to her primary school to obtain a new primary school certificate. This to the Hiuse of Assembly was too much to wave for a Chief Judge.
So where precisely did the alleged bigotry of the Governor of Kebbi manifest in this case? Records showed he made every attempts to ensure the Hon Judge emerge even after appointing her in acting capacity. He never knew about her certificate issues until much later.
It is worthy of note that the Governor’s wife was born by a yoruba Christian Mother from Lagos, whose parents were Christians. Will a bigoted man marry and have children with a well-educated woman from a Christian home? 🤔
Contrary to what we were made to believe from the video, no state governor controls the courts in the state but the judiciary. So the allegation that the executive in Kebbi is making working against the Hon Judge is unfounded. Her career path was only influenced in my view.
Why would anyone then stop her from delivering judgement? This must be looked into by the judiciary as no government runs the courts. The claim that her orderly was pulled also was false as the video captured her orderly in active service by her side as filmed by her daughter.
I don’t see why fundamental discrepancies such as alteration of date of birth from 1952 to 1954, date of issue of primary certificate from 1966 to 1967 and year of completion of primary school from 1966 to 1967 be defended as being persecuted because you are a Christian!
The Hon Justice ought to have acted better especially having being married to Muslims not once, twice, but thrice in her 5-time matrimonial exploration and inciting religious tension in an already polarized clime is not an act that dignify a honorable Judge.
The @KBStGovt however released a statement via their chief press secretary on this. The altercation at the court premises in my view should be further investigated within the judiciary since the legislative, executive & judiciary operate a clear cut separation of powers.
It is interesting though to find that her request for N70m has been backdated to April to fit her actual retirement date if the alterations to her documents were to be jettisoned. I guess she has finally accepted her true age after a new CJ has been sworn in.
The facts are out there. What the media won’t say is that she was posted to Zuru and her court is in Zuru not where she was lobbying to use in the video. For a Senior Judge that’s enjoyed the acting capacity as CJ for months, order ought to have been her watchword.
At least two of the former husbands of the honorable Judge were CJs and two third of her kids are Muslims. So feigning ignorance of processes and claiming to be persecuted for being a Christian is lame and mendacious.
