Kay, at MLA, said truth IS just sad. Dreams, crushed, for our time not being ’70s. Accused of fearing change, longing for old-boy’—having lost scholar, for troll. Others say, no, right to recall—strange to go about same-same, presuming landscape, not there. #HCTwitterConf19

But ’70s was not only, ample of academics, but about bohemianism, about credit to the commons, where the sheep-folk, the bumpkins, flock. Under bridges? Well, probly trolls; but legit tinkering Tolstoy. #HCTwitterConf19

Today we go about preparing for trolls, as forced to interact with public. But with this as attitude, Web, a hippie invention, would never have been created. It assumed the vital, spread out. We, though, started looking for trolls at same time they appeared. #HCTwitterConf19

We are wary of psychoanalysis, make at best only select dips, as Amanda Anderson charges, but history of discipline is a good lead. One: non-scholar, M. Klein, emerged as powerful as Freud, at time of another Freud. Weird route, that came out. #HCTwitterConf19

Two: though Crews argues them as not brave, as hiding flaws to keep pristine Freud, making of psychoanalyst offers no cover. Yrs of getting at one’s emotional shaping as infant, as child? Even if helps to understand why one fixed on specific works, periods? #HCTwitterConf19

In academia? No. But if puff up HC right, we will brave doing it/adjust poise. How so? How can we learn to be as brave to being those people will seek to shame, as pooped-on Naomi Wolf? #HCTwitterConf19
