I strongly reject the notion that USA is a white nation. At the Mescalero July 4th parade honoring All Native Women, I saw this float. Notice the message. Traditions live through care and understanding of cultural values. Respect is what we must seek. 
If the Europeans who invaded America had respected and valued the cultures they found here when they came, there would not have been the genocide of the indigenous peoples.
But, instead they came here believing their culture was superior to anything they found existing here. Their religion cast the indigenous peoples as savages to be tamed, converted, and controlled. There was no respect. They chose not to see the culture that was here already.
This is the truth about how our “white” culture tried to destroy the indigenous cultures they found.
Now, we must decry and reject the attempts of Trump and Stephen Miller to make America white again. #StandAgainstRacism
