I went to crying school. Professional Stanislavsky method acting training. The technique teaches ways to trigger emotions. To cry on cue eight shows a week. Music is one of the things but less used because you're on stage and it may not work in the scene. Sadness is a function of
ones life experiences. A song can trigger tears in one person and joy in another. It is part of your sensory memory. But River is pretty sad. Danny Boy is the hardest song for me to sing now without breaking down because it means something now to me more than ever did before.
Something the directors teach you to never share with anyone. That you put in a place only you can find.
