8chan has found safe haven on Cloudflare for over 4 years.
NT Technology is the company owned by Jim Watkins, expat American pig farmer who lives in the Philippines and funds 8chan.
8chan was founded by Fredrick Brennan, aka hotwheels.
Brennan is an NY/NJ native born with osteogenesis imperfecta, a rare genetic disorder aka brittle bone disease. He wrote a screed supporting eugenics which was published on the daily stormer in 2014.
He was very much a part of subversive web culture, mirroring Encyclopedia Dramatica in 2011 and partying with Gamergaters in 2014.
Brennan moved to the Philippines to work on 8chan full-time in 2014.

8chan has been known as a hub for child pornography.

Cloudflare HAD to have known about the child porn.
why? because the prior domain was 8chan[.]co. And it was ON cloudflare servers when people complained to Cloudflare about child porn.
What happened then?
Brennan tweeted out the email addresses of the people who complained.
So Cloudflare must have known about the child porn.
8chan[.]co was seized Jan 12 2015.

So, we must ask: is Cloudflare cool with child porn?
We know they were cool with white supremacy up until 4 days after Heather Heyer was murdered.
We know they were cool with being affiliated with at least 2 hate crime connected mass shootings in 2019 alone: New Zealand & Poway
Fredrick Brennan was disgusted by the site-which he had created-after the New Zealand shooting.
And still Cloudflare did business with 8chan.

I think it's because Cloudflare plans to IPO in September.
It's hard to get a high valuation when you are known to protect child porn and mass shooting screeds from DDoS.

I think in the short term, both guesses are probably right: CloudFlare’s decision certainly doesn’t end 8chan, it will probably rematerialize in some form elsewhere; AND there will probably be some attrition of users, who either don’t find the new site or don’t want to. 2/16
But I do think we can get too focused on whether a single decision will or will not have a definitive effect, and we overlook the cumulative and the symbolic value of a decision like Cloudflare’s. 3/16

This "history" account has almost 400,000 followers and so a basic corrective about the origins of colonial slavery in the Americas is required to counter this insidious narrative.
In 1619 one hundred poor English children (not Irish) between 8 and 16 years of age were sent to Virginia from London. This was a radical extension of the English Poor Law (1601) where the children of paupers were to be provided for by being bound out as apprentices.
