It was a pleasure to have hosted the West Portland Independence fair held at Lynch Park yesterday. It’s a joy to see my West Portland people come out and enjoy themselves on Independence Day, especially our children. 
We must create a strong culture of National Pride in our urban and rural communities.
The West Portland Independence Fair at the newly renovated Lynch Park Sports Complex, Buff Bay Portland. Features- exposure to aspects of our culture, artifacts junkunoo, music etc.
We had a Football, Netball and Dominoes competition where we gave away cash prizes. We also had a talent show with guest performances from Louie Culture, D’angel and several other cultural performances.
