I "upgraded" from @ScanSnap ix500 to ix1500, which now requires ScanSnap Home in stead of ScanSnap Manager. ScanSnap Manager had "ABBYY Scan to Searchable PDF", but that option is gone in ScanSnap Home: all PDFs generated are non searchable. Why?

@ScanSnap At scansnap.fujitsu.com/global/softwar…, it still indicates "ABBYY Scan to Searchable PDF" is possible.

@ScanSnap Another deal breaker is that the scan window pops up prompting me to save the file.
The very useful ScanSnap Manager with the ix500 would just save the file, and move on: perfect when scanning many documents at once.

@ScanSnap Please advise how to solve both issues.
If these cannot be done with ix1500, I wil return it for an ix500 in order to have spare parts and a second scanning location.

@ScanSnap PS: do not suggest a cloud solution. That is not a proper solution for documents. GDPR and similar rulings in other geographic areas prohibit cloud based solution without the cloud provider going through many legal hoops. I am not even going to consider that route.
