I watched this video last night and it's still freaking me out. A deep fake where Bill Hader *turns into* Tom Cruise and Seth Rogan *while impersonating them*. (via @MohamedGhilan / Ctrl Shift Face on YouTube)

@MohamedGhilan True videos will be called fake videos, fake videos will be called true videos. People steered towards calling news outlets "fake", will stop believing their own eyes. People who want to believe their own version of reality will have all the videos they need to support it.

1) A person asked if it was a genuine shapeshifter (!)
2) Qanon/Trump people said this came out now because it's connected to Epstein or is "deep state" training
3) Others wondered how Hader was able to do it (some jokingly)

@MohamedGhilan This is despite the actual tweet calling it a fake at the outset (admittedly not everyone has heard of deepfakes), and a later explanation of what is happening. And in fairness this is a very small portion of the reactions that I've seen at least.

Will we need A-list actors in the future when we could just superimpose their faces onto the faces of other actors? Would we know the difference?
And could we not choose at the start of a movie which actors we want to play which roles?
