Possible series of events?...

Benn et al amendment passes tonight;
MV 3.0 falls on Tuesday;
Indicative votes debate starts on Wednesday;
Indicative votes take place the week after (Monday 25th is a date I've been told)
Right, having spoken to people involved in the Benn, Cooper etc amendment, the plan is:

* A debate on Wed 20th on the business of the House to decide the process for finding a way forward

* The agreed process — expected to be indicative votes — would take place the week after
Bercow chooses the following amendments:

Corbyn, A50 extension & consensus
Hilary Benn et al, backbench control
Sarah Wollaston, People's Vote
Chris Bryant, block May holding MV3

Mark Francois is furious that Bercow didn't choose the amendment which rejects a new referendum.

The thing I find most frustrating about British politics is how nearly everyone with political power or a media platform is myopically focused on how Britain navigates the next few years, while there is no national conversation about where we want to be in 10, 20 or 50 years.
Both sides of the Brexit divide are guilty. Continuity Remainers want only to reverse Brexit and make it so that the EU referendum result was nothing but a bad dream. Hard Brexiteers have their platitudes about Britain swashbuckling its way to WTO rules-based free trade glory.
The truth is that Britain has entered a state of political discontinuity, where the old left/right political divides, "acceptable" policies & talking points are no longer adequate to the issues we face. We're not alone; other Western countries face the same, but are ignoring it.

- Kenya's gospel music scene (including church/worship teams)
- ways in which "conflict" is "solved" in church
- current thinking in church around rape/its victimology,

Firstly, the Kenyan church has been in private flux about the idea of sex before marriage for decades. Similar to the church in Africa and honestly the black church globally. Folks do it but pretend they don't, which is ripe ground for poor ethics and literacy.
The referenced article re. the two gospel artists and their partner who contracted herpes has many layers. We've already crossed the vanilla bridge into voyeurism and group sex, before even consent, so let's start there, not at "Christians should abstain".

Ever hear of Marx’s “base and superstructure” theory? 😏
This one goes a bit deeper than what we’ll explore here (as usual), but we’re going to try to simplify this as much as we can without oversimplifying.

We’re also going to focus on Marx’s ideas exclusively instead of covering the works of others that try to build on this concept.
Marx essentially explains that in our society, the “base” represents the means + relations of production.

The “base” is what mostly influences the ideas that shape what we call the “superstructure.”

Our “superstructure” is our art, culture, political frameworks, and much more.
