Listen. You're going to see a LOT of news stories about how great ol' Grabby is doing on fundraising in the next several months. Pay them no mind. There were a lot of stories about how great the Ivanka brand was doing too.
(Which is not at all to echo a certain demagogue's cries of "fake news" at ALL. (Journalists are my heroes.) It's merely to say the occupants of the White House are shameless liars who are good at self-dealing & self promo, most of which bears v. little relationship to reality.)
A lot of the fundraising success is merely b/c he's an incumbent benefiting from strong economic tailwinds created before he took office. Don't lose heart. Remember what Scottish farmer Michael Forbes (another hero of mine) said: "Keep pissing him off."
